Ms. Wynsome D. Carey joined the firm of Alexiou, Knowles & Co. in 2008.

Ms. Carey works primarily in the following areas:

• Civil and Commercial Litigation;
• Trust Litigation;
• Family Law;
• Insurance Law;
• Personal Injury;
• Probate;
• Debt Collection;
• Real Estate and Conveyancing

Some of her most recent work includes:

• Acting for a Leading Insurer in foreclosure matters;
• Assisting with providing advice to clients in a construction dispute;
• Assisting with providing advice to a local developer in a contractual dispute;
• Assisting with providing advice to a local firm in a partnership dispute;
• Assisting with advising a local bank in a personal injury matter.

Education
Upon obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Acadia University, Nova Scotia, Canada, in May 2004, Ms. Carey received her Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of The West of England, Bristol, England in July, 2007 where she also successfully completed the Bar and Vocational Course in July, 2008.

Ms. Carey was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales on July 24th, 2008 and to the Bahamas Bar on September 26th 2008.  Ms. Carey completed her Pupilage at Alexiou Knowles & Co. Law Chambers under Mr. Emerick A. Knowles QC.

Ms. Carey is a member of The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn and The Bahamas Bar Association.
