| Richard Horton
joined Alexiou, Knowles & Company in 2007 as an Associate
in the Litigation Department.
Mr. Horton obtained
a Bachelors Degree (Joint Honours) in Philosophy & Theology
from the University of Durham, England in 1999, and subsequently
converted to law, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Law
from the College of Law, London, England in 2001. In that
same year Mr. Horton was awarded the Jules Thorn Scholarship
from the Honourable Society of Middle Temple, and proceeded
to complete the Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School in
London, England in 2002, when he was admitted to the Bar of
England & Wales.
Mr. Horton is British,
but moved to the Bahamas in 2004, where he was enrolled as
a Registered Associate.
Mr. Horton is primarily
involved in Civil Litigation, and has experience in Commercial
/ Contractual disputes; Labour / Employment disputes; International
Trade disputes; Corporate Insolvencies; Professional Negligence
actions (Medical & Legal); Judicial Review actions; and
the Common Law (Trespass; Negligence; Nuisance).
